Here is before and the top half done. Hopefully  while I'm  away today the painters will finish up the dark gray bottom half.

I'm not superstitious either, but I have taught to never, never put the box of film back on the shelf after everything is cut, before everything is fully installed.Seems like every damn time I do that, something screws up.

I tint and detail. I can tell you that detailing is way more labor for less money. If you decide to go at it on your own there is more equipment involved with doing it than with tinting and PDR. I don't do PDR but from what I know (I looked into it myself) there is a huge learning curve and you need patience (like in tinting). But really, go with your gut and do something you will love.

It definately helps to have a bit of mechanical ability. But once you get a feel for removing door panels, seals, spoilers. They're all pretty similar. I would steer clear of chargers, beetles, corvettes, some audis can be pretty tough as well.

I would actually get familiar with disassembling them. Learning what seals you can pull or how easy some panels come off can be very beneficial.

I just always timed my installs with the auto shut off. Every door I'd hit start again. "Smart cars" -.- all lies.
I will be taking the dinger tip though, those things drive me crazy!

Jkatfelix reacted to CustomGlassTinter in How did you get your start?
I used to run machine lines manufacturing wheels. The plant closed and we were all laid off. A month later I had a knock on the door.
It was a couple of guys, they were up to no good, asked me if I wanted to come work.

I said sure... Why not? Jerks...
