Long027 reacted to Tint Slayer in Best slip solution ratio?
8 mls per liter for sides, 12 mls per liter for back glass. that's using Joy Non-Ultra. 8 mls per liter is the same ratio as 1oz per gallon.

Best thing to do with those is to pull the seal. They go from being a pain in the ass to easy as it gets.

Mine in Eastern NC pretty much year round is 2oz to 1 gallon in a corny with 3 gallons at a time typically. I do also have a super slip bottle so that if the window beads up I'll use it. Also I only use off brand supposedly name brand will gum up the tank.

Too many variables in water ,water temp, water type, glass temp ,coatings on the glass, outside temp, humidity, skill level of installer.....
For consistency sake use distilled water. Some mannys recommend it.
Test and approve for your own self.
When I train guys I get them on a small sprayer first and start with less slip . You can always add more. Gotta toss the batch if its too slick.

4 foot led shop light is my take along for any extra light I need.
Considered the Milwaukee M18 work light but couldn't justify the price for myself.

I threw mine away not long after purchasing it. Only thing it's really ok for is first pass smoothing film out if it doesn't scratch it. Other than that there's not much use for it imo.

If its the hatchback it pretty flat, but if it the notch, make sure to shrink towards the factory edge (especially on side corners.) For install on the hatch i reverse roll it with the hatch open.
For sides windows, align bottom edge or trim film to it, roll down window and trim along top edge. Now, pull film off, wet glass and the align film to top edge, bump film towards the rear of vehicle and trim side edge. When film is aligned to top edge of glass, should have a proper side gap. Oh yea, trim small mirror side last.

Classic black not only looks good but it lasts a long time.

Classic black, true black isn't a color stable film.

The reselling of Llumar film to third parties is an absolute crime according to the manufacturer. If it has llumar logo on release liner then it is legit. I would steer clear of those folks and transactions as you have no warranty and it could limit your options in the future.

If you're practicing with it yeah. Not something I would install on a customer's car though as it's not a color stable film. More or less just practice stuff.
