SG does make an HPSmoke....but don't have it installed.  :twocents  Charcoal or True Grey  :twocents  HP Smoke  :nope  :twocents

Is it some cheap azz line or something? I don't see anywhere where they claim to offer it. He is still backing it for a lifetime, but honestly, shade wise, I don't think it looks as nice as what I have seen installed on your vehicles....but it is hard to tell before it is installed, for me anyway. Thanks a bunch.

It has a lifetime warranty...but not against color change. There's a reason for that. :twocents:twocents Let's just say...I wouldn't install on my customer's cars. But that doesn't mean too much because there are many films I wouldn't install.

It is still available through SG even though you can't find it anywhere to prove it.

It's their economy HP film (HP Smoke). Contrary to what everyone else has said, it's been on my south facing sun-wall for over 2 years, no apparant change in color. It's holding up better than some others, including some big names. All I know is what I see every day, and that is what I see. :twocents You would still be much better off with HP Charcoal, or True Grey IMO though.

Hey Blade, I'm not so sure I believe your rep after what I see. He says it goes purple fast, I see it holding up fine, hard for me to believe when I look at it every day. Really, I don't get it.  :twocents

Maybe just the fact that he's in California where it's always sunny and hot. I haven't had any comebacks from the HPSmoke I'ved installed. :twocents I would say trust what you see on your wall. You've got more experience with it than I do...we both know that.

Might be crazy, but I'm thinking it's slightly possible your rep would just rather you not buy the cheaper film. :twocents I mean UV is UV anywhere, and I have plenty quickly purple samples on that wall. That's why I don't get it ya know? Not that I'm endorsing it, or would use it for normal installs, ( I've only used up the sample roll they sent on odd body shop one window type jobs) but I'm just curious because what I see. Like I said, it's holding up as well as some big name films, and I just don't get it, I keep staring at it saying...no, can't be...:twocents

:twocents:twocents I don't think so. He's way too cool to BS me. I think we're close enough that he'd just come right out and say how he felt.

I think :twocents
