so friday, after a long day, I come home to, "do you know what your son did at school today?"

OH GOD!!! what..... in the middle of playtime he decided to perform his first mooning. do you know how hard it is to keep a straight face when your talking to a 5 year old about being appropriate, when youre having flashbacks of your skinny arse nearly falling all the way out a car window for mooning around a corner. (thank god for seatbelts that lock), or getting busted for peeing on a tree in kindergarten.

on another note.

you try and educate the kid and make sure he's watchin the right stuff on tv. I try to stay more on the pbs kids, discovery and disney kids kinda stuff. so I got him all into this show on dinosaurs and archeologist digs and what not. kids are a trip. they'll get a thought days later after seeing or hearing something and out their mouth it comes. out of the blue......"dad, know what I wanna be when I grow up?" (thinking to myself, "whats it gonna be this week") well that week...... he wanted to be a "dinosaur boner"

he knows the word archeologist now.

if he wanted to grow up to be like daddy, it would be close. not a dinosaur boner, but just a big .....

parenting is so entertaining some times.

My kidz are nutz but dang smart and creative

I wont let 'em go down the road I did

they make me laugh, when they pull the same I did

teaching em to live in a PC world from preschool on.

if anyhting we should be teachin these kids to have two things.

1) self esteem - being comfortable with who yuo are

2) sense of humor - my kid shoulda got a gold star that day

my 5year old boy spits out while still playing, "telling your dad youre gay"

getting em to remember to keep their room clean, dont talk back, say please and thank you, nah, thats too much.

we were all red with laughter.
