Mercedes 108 (1972) 2 Door

Like to ask people in the know. Has anyone ever tinted the Mercedes 108, not the van mind you. I don't have much experience with old Mercedes. The back glass is almost curved 90 degrees. Would someone please tell me if it is possible to tint the glass using a single piece of film.

I think the old 108's are just like the old SEL's

The backglass has just a black rubber trim around it, it can be done in 1 piece but it's a pain. :fdup

The last SEL I did, took an hour on the backglass

Let the film hang over the rubber trim about 3 inches(top&bottom) and dry shape. heat and streach. just dont focus the heat in one spot for too long, thoes old benz backglasses will pop.

First attempt, spent 2 hours and it didn't work, almost gave up. The second time I did it with the glass out of the car, this time it worked.

It can be done in one piece using 20" roll of film. I use wet shrink.
