I have stupid question,, I know I will get flamed but I wont learn if I don't ask. What are you doing with the gaskets? removing them? or pulling them away to get film below it?? please be gentle.

some people pull the whold door panel off, some just pull the lower gasket out :lol2

All depends on the car.

Lots of domestics you can just pull the top of the panel back a little and then pull out the rubber gasket felted channel at the bottom of the window.

Easy ones like ford trucks, ford vans, crown vic, grand prix, grand cherokees, etc I remove them. Takes me a second or two usually per door.

Some vehicles the "gasket" or "rubber trim at the bottom of the window" is built into the door panel and you have to remove or loosen the panel to get it away from the window.
