Some company sent me those blue ones. I think there was like 3-4 in the pack. they have been in my garage tool box for a few years, I forgot I even had them.

some people pull the whold door panel off, some just pull the lower gasket out

ok these tools help pull the gasket? by gasket you mean the rubber trim correct?

I go to home depot and by those plastic edge gard things the painters use to seperate the carpet from . 1 pack has 15 pces x 36" and sells for about $10 . Alot cheaper than red devils.

All depends on the car.

Lots of domestics you can just pull the top of the panel back a little and then pull out the rubber gasket felted channel at the bottom of the window.

Easy ones like ford trucks, ford vans, crown vic, grand prix, grand cherokees, etc I remove them. Takes me a second or two usually per door.

Some vehicles the "gasket" or "rubber trim at the bottom of the window" is built into the door panel and you have to remove or loosen the panel to get it away from the window.

I just sneak the film past the gasket, no tuck , no removal, just slide it past it

I have used the plastic paint carpet shields for a few cars and they do work well.
