Film types - how would you rate Solarguard??

I called Suntek up recently and they sent me 20 ft. of film for free for me to try out. It was autofilm, but I've since ordered a roll of Flat Glass film because I have a cust. who wants a film they've got.

Hey,

New to tintdude.com, just wondering about flat glass tinting. I have been tinting auto's for a while, and am looking to expand into the flat glass world. Any help would be appreciated, such as brands, contacts, pricing, etc., thanks.

What type of auto film do you use? They should have flat glass film also....If I could do flat glass only I would never do another car again..(for the public anyway)..Flat glass is where the real money is. As far as contacts, talk to every glass and construction company in your area. Pricing.....Just check your competion.

I have used sungard for years and have no complaints. My rep is great and they have never let me down. Pricing is middle of the road. Im happy.

I currently use llumar film, I suppose they have flat glass film, what is te difference between flat glass film and automotive. thanks

Honestly with that question, you have alot to learn.

I can just picture it now, installing the wrong film on a batch of windows, glass breaking, and you going out of business. Seen too many do that.

Talk to your distributor and go the the seminars. You really have alot to learn.

also in some states you need a contractors license to work on houses or buildings.

Actually, I don't have that much to learn except for the different brands of film. I've been installing Vista and Llumar for 3 years now... which I know it's not a super long time, but it's not like I'm new to the field. I was simply asking about a brand of film that we don't carry.

Of course if that comment wasn't directed to me, then disregard what I just wrote. :lol
