but I have a concern. I clicked on the link and it took me to the TD.com page. I clicked on texas and it says that "SUVs have different laws which are not listed here". in texas, the back sides have to be 25% net also. only the back glass is ANY.

the laws you have listed for texas are for MPVs.

the eyebrow is "AS-1 or 5", whichever is closer to the top of the windshield".

Haha.. So, there you go.. There are apparently no other reasons for dark tint, other than dr*g & gun running.

You would expect that type of article coming from one of the Narcotic Import States, Texas being another one. :lol

Its funny though...I know quite a few troopers and police officers who themselves drive personal vehicles with 5% all around. Kinda of ironic? :lol

Every time I see a vehicle pull up next to me with Limo tint on all windows...I think of Michael Keaton as Bill Blazejowski on that movie Night Shift where he is driving his limo tinted vehicle next to that police vehicle flipping off the police and yelling "We got weed, booze and teenage girls in here man!" :lol

I think that they may want to reword this sentence. because in fact it is not illegal to sell illegal window tint, it is sometimes illegal the way it is used. if they were right on that then the manufactures would be getin fines out the wahzoo for selling illegal film to me. its kinda like going into a pipe shop and finding sneak-a-tokes, thats not illegal for them to sell them, its only illegal if you smoke dope through them.

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
