Film is Curling

We are currently having an issue with flat glass solar films. After the installation all edges have been bumped and the job looks great. After a day or so we have had a couple of customers call and say the film is curling up from the botom edge. We were able to save the small install by just going back out ad bumping the edge again. After we have had a few of these calls, we called our rep. who said he has had a few dealers reporting the same thing. Now I have used this film for many years with no problems. Just wondering if any others have had this happen?

must be llumar that shiat curls all the time. I've made a point to pre-cut the film a couple days in advance and roll it liner in to help stop the curling.

If the windows have rubber gaskets you can just shove tooth picks under the gasket and it will hold the film down until it cures to the glass.

It is the Llumar and Vista Films. I just don't recall any of this in years past. I am starting to think something has changed other than the distribution center closing!!!!

If it is Llumar use X100 if recommended, you will not have any issue.

Great idea! we used to use a little scotch tape in the upper corners.

We have been using x100, still having issues. we have even started using less slip in the solution.

it still happens with us using X-100 too.
