OPEC is p1ss1ng and moaning, cutting output and basically telling us there doing it to raise prices. Why arent we hearing about alternative energy sources every 5 minutes like we were before prices went down? Damn talk about short memory! :popcorn

Okay I am getting hosed here its still 1.96/gal in the mtns here but I drive 45min to an hour and its 1.51. Get the f*ck out. I asked them why do we pay 47 cents more a gallon when the fuel truck HAS to drive right by these gas stations to get to the other towns. There response is "rent is higher (no sh!t) and we pay more for it." Why does this 7-eleven pay more for gas than the others? UGH :popcorn:hmmm

I always wonder the gas prices seem higher the closer you are to a refiner...Nor cal gets some of the highest in the nation... I could see why it would be higher in a longer haul to deliver.. These are some reasons why it cost so much in california to live. Hawaii I could see why you have to go so far away/..

How about the food prices where you guys are? They went way up here when the gas went up, but now that the gas price is down, the food prices haven't dropped at all. We are careful about what we buy, but the food prices are crazy, and if you buy stuff that doesn't have a mile long list of chemicals the price is even worse. :lol

The cheapest I've seen gas here in the SF north bay area is 1.59, but my Evo takes premium so that's around 1.80 or so. At the Safeway checkout the other evening, the clerk looked at my receipt and said, 'damn, soon Safeway is gonna be paying YOU to fill up'. It seems that I've never used my Safeway discount card to buy gas at one of their stations, so I'm at the maximum discount, which is 1.30 OFF, per gallon. So when I fill my Chevy dually's 34 gallon tank this week, I'll be paying 29 cents per gallon!!!!

      TintX Puremax and Koolmax

      All Right cool. I've been practicing with an inexpensive tint I found on amazon. Its called Rockrose. I'm just about ready to make some cards to pass around to get clientele. I've been debating if I should start with Puremax cuz its a lot cheaper or Geoshield cuz of the great quality I've heard of. I'll probably go with Geoshield so I can make it easy on myself and make sure I do great quality work for my customers. Are you already doing doing jobs for customers? If so, did you stop using the Puremax and now only use Geoshield?

      Ghosting week require a smoother, more even and spread out shrink. Look at my old "ryk shrink" using 2 heart guns with an over/under setup. That would be my suggestion.

      Heavy Ghosting - Geoshield "Geo" Line

      Hey all, I am not a pro tinter but more or less just someone who likes to experiment / DIY. Wanted to ask if there was anyone here who has used the Geoshield "Geo" line for automotive purposes? I really like the color, but I get really bad ghosting for anything that requires decent shrinking. The film is specced as architectural, but has a PS adhesive so some use it in auto applications. I sent an email to see if that is the reason why it's for flat glass .. lol This is a sputtered TiN film and has a beautiful color imho. This reminds me of Huper Optik, and not quite sure but I think Johnson had a line called "InsulatIR" that I could never get my hands on to try. The film has a slightly purplish reflection (TiN I guess), when put on green auto glass, filters out and looks super neutral. ❤️ I've had it on my auto for a while but my rear window is a mess when the sun hits it (ghosting) and was curious if this is just not suitable for auto Any info would be appreciated. Skill issue, ie: shrink with lower heat? lol Thanks.

      chameleon window tint good quality

      If you don't mind trying to source some, there is a large Japanese manufacturer that makes a bunch of dichroic - looking films. It might be your style, but it would be hard to get your hands on some. https://www.braintec.co.jp/filmlab/ I believe some of the films do have decent heat-rejection, but because of the nature of the films, looking through them can be really funky. They are well-known in Japan and would likely be of decent quality. Also, very expensive. Depending on where you are, shipping would also be $$$.

      TintX Puremax and Koolmax

      I feel the difference in quality with geoshield. Not only is it easier to peel the liner off but shrinking feels better and I think the material feels slightly thicker(helps with not creasing) Only downside that the price noticeably different. For mainly everything Its atleast another 100 on top of for example stuff from tints Lexen. I haven’t tried solarfree either.

      At least twice, yes. Although since we don't know what vehicle it is you're planning to tint, that was a bit presumptuous of me.
