Here in this area most of us tinting kinda grew up together tinting at the same original tint shop so we all speak tint and can understand each other even with a mouth full of squeegy or olfa.

couple buggers = small particles of dust under the film...tolerable

Worm = either a hair or sliver of film / liner caught between the film and the glass..slight possibility of removal.

trash = cluster of particles...might as well redo it, usually unsalvageable

Finger = place where the film meets the curve of the glass and will not lay down without creasing unless heated and shrunk

Are these the Standard in your area, too?

Only one of those I've heard used is finger which seems universal.

How about:

Snizzle - piece of rubber from flat glass window that ended up getting cut off and under the film while you were trimming the film

N.A.D. - stands for Normal Amount of Distortion. A guy in our shop made up this acronym one day while dealing with a very picky customer. He told her as she was pointing at a window " Oh don't worry about that, it's just NAD.

throwin dicks = lots of fingers :)

john denver tintjob = so much dirt under the film it looks like the rocky mountains

pucky = crap under the film

yell "START OVER" real loud when you f**k up

fossil = a gnat or mosquito caught between inadvertently while transporting exposed film to the glass...usually leaves guts or wings if attempting to remove.

In our area we use the following:

SNOT: A small area of little specs os dirt where a rookie touched the door jamb or window frame with wet film

Bananna Peel: Film liner that the same rookie threw on the floor after peeling the film and before touching it to the frame causing the snots

Skippy: This is the guy in the shop that only peels film, cleans windows, holds the light, and other related Non Film laying tasks. Our skippy loves to walk around pushing his blade in and out of his olfa knife that he will never get to use, making that annoying clicking noise

Ruckuss: That annoying clicking noise caused by a skippy pushing his blade in and out of his noise

Confetti: A large slip of the knife while cutting on a defroster line ,rendering the 30 minute shrink on a beretta back window useless!!
