I get asked that all the time :lol

When I started the forum, it automatically used my account info for the admin account, the second account was a test account, the 3rd was my TintDude account. :lol2

Haha I've been back here for a couple weeks now. It was 106 degrees at 8am this morning. Then I got the ex-gf and her Dad both here to deal with.

Life can only get better, guys! :lol:lol

Are you still working out? I know the bonuses are/were going down since so many people joined when the bonuses were big.

If Your serious about going in, this would probably be the best time. Being that the military is having a hard time filling its quotas, You could probably pick any M.O.S. (job) that You wanted. Do Yourself a favor though....pick a trade You can use in the civilian world AND pick one with the longest training available. That way when You graduate A.I.T. (advanced individual training) the war should be darn near over, and most of our troops will be home. :poke

You nailed it right on the head. But, I know hear they are not accepting waivers anymore, and they cut the bonuses because the service was filling up. I heard the Marines were overbooked for boot their camps just awhile ago.

Yes, I am a Army vet. Who cares about the bonus' really. One person wrote on here that a Flight Nurse had a $45,000 sign on bonus. A flight nurse in the civilian world makes WELL over 100K a year. THATS the kind of M.O.S. someone needs to pick if they are serious about enlisting. Anything in the healthcare field is tops.

Oh, and I enjoy FREE healthcare at the V.A. ....... Holla! :poke

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
