T4 caravelle sliders

anyone know how to get the slide catch off on the sides ?

theres a hole underneath is there a screw in there ?

any one ? need to get them done asap.,

its a 1995 van

You cant remove the catch, I have tried it with the windows out of the van.

You can use an opaquer pen - or a bit of vinyl on the outside.

when you say out the van ? as in the frame still ?

I guessed this may be the case, some Vw forums sugest removable,

Phone Paul at Auto Asylum Maidenhead Berkshire 01628 782 782 ,He does the local VW Commercial Dealer and has always removed these .

Including my own vehicle,they are tricky due to spring Mech inside but I know it is possible and looks better when the border around catch is finished properly.

I had a look with the window out and couldnt work out how to get it apart, maybe it was in place - I cant remember. It does look fiddly either way.

The ones I do know are all aftermarket sliders that you can remove the catch with a couple of screws.

Spoke to paul, As nick said older non removable, newer do,

off to do the template, & get the opaquer out, lol
