Had a friends dad call me today to R&R an 07 Mustang and I am trying to figure out if I even want to take it on.

How is the BG install on this one?

Do the doors need to have felt added? And if so, can someone kind of give me a step by step on this as I have never seen felt added to any vehicle, so I am curious where and how exactly you guys are doing this since I see it talked about a lot. Also, where is a good place to get the appropriate felt from?

Back glass is pretty straight foward.

And as far as felt, 05-07 Stangs need it. 08-up are good to go. If they want to go OEM, they can go to the dealership and purchase 08-up gaskets and you can chanrge them to install them when you tint it. If youre going to felt them youself, just search. Its been covered MANY times now. :lol2

Yeah after I posted this thread, then of course I found the info on just calling ford and charging for that so that is what I will do. Back window looks flat for the most part online and not sure about the dots but maybe this would be a good vehicle to try out the glue method on?

You wont need glue on any Mustang 05 and up. They dont have the huge patch on top of the back glass. :dunno

To pop the gaskets out of the fronts, remove the cover behind door handle and remove the screw(torx). Then remove 1-2 screws on the very edge of the door and pop the panel up and out. It helps to have the window down before sliding the gaskets out. As for the rear, just pop those loose, nothing to remove.

For applying the felt, I cleaned with alcohol, scored the surface with steel wool and applied. Someone on here mentioned heating them up before applying, I think that would help too.

dont add felt to this car go buy the 08 gasket like you said you would do and charge them just as much, either way NEVER ADD MOLE SKIN..."the 08 gaskets have factory felt"

      Take a look at 3M's Nightvision or LLumar's Dual Reflective series, they both have a warm tone to them.

      Steer clear of Black Armour, Suntek, ASWF. The others are good choices if you are in Australia. Check out the reviews of the installer too. It’s not just the materials that have to be proper. Never go for the cheapest!!!

      Residential Film without blue hue?

      Hey guys I am in the process of having window film installed in my home but have a question about which brand I should go with. Hoping yall can help me out. I have a room that faces a busy street and as a result my blinds pretty much always stay closed. I love having natural daylight but not so much people being able to see what i'm doing in my room/all my expensive equipment. I used to work in the window film industry as a helper/installer/salesman when I was in highschool and we did a lot residential/commercial work. The specific brand of film we used always left a certain blue and cool appearance. Is there any brand of residential film that does not have this effect? I mainly just cannot stand having blue light amplified and am looking for a film that has a neutral shade to it or even a warm/yellow hue. I have single pane windows and I do not necessarily care about heat rejection but if I have to pay more for a ceramic film rather than a dual reflective or a standard film I am willing to if that helps solve the issue. Again, any help is really appreciated with this there are so many new window film brands out there and it really is cool to see how far the industry has come.

      Automotive Tint Comparison

      LLumar, 3M and Solargard have in the industry as far back as the genesis of window film mid-1960's). Solargard is the younger of the three and all others came to play in the last 20 or so years. I've had all three on my vehicles over the years and my current is 3M Crystalline on my Jeep since 2015. It still has stable color, scratch coat is holding strong and impeccable adhesive clarity. Never been garaged. My choice toady would be 3M or LLumar.

      Hook up with Glassy Business and get all the ins and outs of pro vs DIY with window film. That company goes back way before my retirement in 2015. I want to believe they are/were a Vista Film dealer and I cannot remember the owner's name. Peace out.

      Once more thank you, you are the best I been looking at the specs for the products you mention and info into tinting a window. I recently did wrap my wife's car and it turn out really nice, for what I have been seeing tinting a window is similar and I am tempted to do it myself. With that said I can't find any place to buy the products you mention, I found quite a few films in Amazon but they seem sketchy. There is other web sites selling films but the ones you mention I can’t locate, anyhow is there any place where I can buy this products?
