A cool trick I learned to keep hard card tools smooth.

Recommended Posts

My buddy who taught me how to tint showed me this, and it works AWESOME ! Rub your hard cards, slammers or any other plastic tools on cardboard. It polishes the plastic to a smooth shine. Don't get too aggressive when rubbing fine edges though, it will remove a lot of material. Also, be sure and cut out pieces of the cardboard and lay them on a hard flat surface. Rubbing on an empty box of tint will curve the flat side of a hard card in a hurry. I do this to my hard cards every morning and it keeps them smoother than new.

Another thing I do is wet sand my turbo squeegee edge with 1000 grit sand paper every morning. Your slip solution sprayed on the sand paper is a perfect lubricant and your turbo squeegee will clean like a smoothie everyday.

Don't write this off as noob nonsense. My buddy taught me this and he has been tinting for 15 years. So you veterans can try it too ! LOL !!!
