SNAPPING......

Recommended Posts

Maybe I haven't given it much of a chance. How do you know it's shrank enough? I'm assuming it's shrank too much when it starts to burn but I would hate thinking it was shrank enough and then have to chase fingers after applying the film.

Jeff doing a back glass

As window tinters we all have all seen this snapping technique done, also called dry shrinking and curling. I have started snapping back glasses, this video shows one of the easier ones to do. I've been able to do cars like a acura tl, a ford fusion, and chevy malibu. these cars actualy have less curve than most and just wanted to show some of you it can be done.

Nine minutes and 16 seconds? Hell, I'd have the cash in my back pocket and halfway through the next car by then! :lol2

learning to stretch the film and how to properly squeegee the fingers that may pop up without causing new ones will make for a faster tinter. at least thats what im finding now that im full time tinting.

Not necessarily. There are some side windows you are better off taking the time to shrink. The stress of the film with a few yrs of weathering can prematurely fail the film in those stressed area.

Not all by any stretch, some that come to mind would be a cougar or baretta.
