71 Olds Malibu 442

guy called in about getting his 71 Olds Malibu tinted, and im just wondering if the shrinking process is the same or what. it looks like a concave curve I think is what its called. any help would be awesome thanks

Never heard of an Olds Malibu, but the 442 isn't too tough to shrink at all.

Your biggest problem will be dealing with the butyl on the inside frame.

yeah the butyl will be a pain for sure. but do I shrink this the same as every other window?

Yes. you will see the "fingers" appear just like a other glasses. Shrink as normal.

clean up the edges inside the window on the butyl or urethane with your knife and a razor....

Those windows are an easy lay. Not much to shrink if any at all...I did one years ago that was not in the car and if I remember right it was nothing to do...

I did those one piece before shrinking was discovered. Concentrate on cleaning like ryk n td said.
