what causes this?

Recommended Posts

May not always be from same roll. In a lot of states, darker tint is allowed on rear of vehicle than what is used on fronts. In most instances I've seen, if the same film is used all the way around it happens on all the windows.

It may have something to do with the amount of solvent released due to heat or uv exposure. A rear window is exposed to the sun at all angles where side glass may not be. I'm not a chemist but I think that makes sense
