What I find funny is people looking for dirt cheap priced film and then demand to know the source of the film because they do not want to buy poor quality.  Here is a hint, if the price is so great, then the quality is probably not...stop being cheap it is embarrassing.  If you can't afford a quality film, then you need to rethink tinting because you clearly are not making any money in it.   :facepalm2

dynamic!! what's with all the hostility brother?? didn't realize this was such a touchy subject for everyone. Im not trying to bust anybodys balls here. I was just curious. The reason why im "shopping around" and asking these questions is because I like to know everything about the film I buy. Im not looking for the cheapest tint so I can make a quick buck. My worry is that id buy a couple rolls from a company that just says "Trust me, Its good quality tint" and in 2 years its fading or turning purple. I use Suntek HP, CARBON ,CXP and CERAMIC  right now and I've just been looking at other options. What would be embarrassing is to buy tint from that site without asking questions like the ONE question I asked.

Dynamic is correct. Tintguy, you have 15 bucks into material for a vehicle with a known quality product. Average passenger car 200, an hour or so in Lamborghini labor rate for installation and you know the vehicle won't come back for issues....so you want to save 3 bucks and bring the cost down to 12 bucks a vehicle and do not know where the quality is going to end up. If only one window came back to be redone, you are behind. Waste of time and material and loss of confidence into material you have left. Stick with what you know works, order more than one box at a time (to save on shipping). Dynamic hit the nail on the head, you're not making any ????

I save thousands a year because I get free shipping when I order. I use llumar and express classic for all my automotive and v-kool for all the yachts because I trust them.

I understand you are just trying to find an intermediate film, but is it worth all the headache and sleepless nights...

I love this forum..

Cheers

We worked it out and made the switch after we realized that buying a very high end brand product only cost you a 2-3 dollars extra per average car.

In the end it was worth it. Llumar had world wide  recognition, its on TV and all over the internet, West coast Customs! I mean common! who doesn't want a film that Justin Bieber has on all his cars lol

The ones that nickel and dime to "save cost" will always tint the 1998 civic hatches and ford escorts.

I had the "good film, no purple, no problems" line from FTI sungard back when I started. Was the midnight film. Guess what happened in a year or so? Barney purple. That was a big name and they made the film.

What type of LLumar Film are you referring to when you save 2-3 $ per car we would need to find out what kind of comparisons we are doing here :twiddlethumbs

YEA for real lol West coast customs does alot of celebrity cars (kim kardashian, chris brow, marc wahlberg, paris hilton ) and are partners with Llumar. WCC has been working on all biebers vehicles since hes pretty much legal to drive. So yes there is alot of Llumar film on celebrity cars.

You can see biebers car literally in front of the Llumar room in this video

Aside from that when i'm talking costs with all my dealers, the F1 classic cost almost 50 dollars more then my suntek carbon or sungard BP.(not gonna get in depth with price) Once you divide out the amount of average sized windows you can do with one roll. It barely breaks the bank, its understandable that prices will be different in every region. But you should get the point. Its just an estimated number.

No hostility meant and was not directed at you only...just don't understand anyone with that mind frame.  Don't get me wrong, everyone wants to save money.  I mean why overpay when you do not have too?  What irritates me when so many people brand hop just to save a nickel and are willing to pick brands that either have a bad reputation or a company that has no reputation.  When you decide to switch to a brand that has a killer low price, then you are most likely throwing the whole "quality" aspect out the window and you should be okay with that.  You shouldn't be demanding to know anything about the film.  Does it really matter what they tell you about the film or where it is from?  It doesn't mean that is quality because they mention a few keywords and as mentioned before, they could lie.  It is just crazy to me that this industry has so many penny pinching cheap people even though it is mostly labor and should have good mark up.  I mean there are several extremely well priced brands that have a great reputation, but of coarse people want to find something even cheaper, but it has to be premium.  As I said before, if saving couple of dollars per car is life and death for you (meaning anyone) than you are not doing something right.
