Becoming a sub contractor

Recommended Posts

Here in Calif I paid about $1400 for 1year, 1mil coverage, $500 deductible.

No workmans comp. required here for sole proprietorship small biz (no employees)

I got quotes from several local independent insurance agents. No fun, but it had to be done.

Annual policy varied greatly between them. Went with an agent I was comfortable with, not the lowest bid.

Be sure to review and compare policy details closely to a make sure you are getting what you need.

Biz lic about $200 per year. (had to get fingerprinted and background checked for doing mobile work)

Good luck.

No affiliation, just a few I picked out from google...

I am sure he will claim every dollar he pays you this way.  That will also make you "responsible" for every one of them too... just figure what you are going to be "losing" via taxes, social security, and insurance......you may "make" less than now!
