My grandmas car did but it sits 90% of the time.  Battery does that every once in a while.  Also happend on a buddys Nitro doin the front two windows over for him.  That one was weird cuz it was only like 40 minutes or so.  But he said that had happened a few times.  Battery prob has a bad cell

Maybe you are taking too long. Didn't you post that you once tinted the older Monte Carlos in like 15 minutes?

The old GM caddy's and few other gm models had a big crazy lower seals and the dumb seatbelt thing in the door and upper rear corner of the front doors

No more 15min cars can't rush anymore,,a pretty easy Ford truck ext cab took 40min yesterday,,8min per window? To clean,cut,install, wipe down and couple phone calls

Long time ago This other shop had like 25 cars and I did 12 and helped the other 3 guys on a few on a Saturday and 20 sunday,,the cell phone was a car phone then,,not mobile?lol

I'll throw the charger on pretty much every full install I do. Most of the time I don't bother when I'm doing the two fronts....though that has screwed me a couple times :lol

 

There was a bad run of killing batteries, so I've taken a proactive stance on preventing that. Had the dealerships on a first name basis getting radio codes for awhile there..... :phone

I went to a bodyshop to do 1 doorglass on a Prius,,and it was dead,,the panel in the passenger rear cargo area is were they powered it up

1st Prius I tinted couldn't figure out how to get it out of the shop,,I read the Manuel and got it out,,but seen there is someway to get electrocuted?

The motors run on ac not dc if I remember right.

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
