Why would you ever need to tint on the exterior??

Laminated glass

No access to the interior side

Better performance ,shorter lifespan = consumable

 

No reason

Tint on the exterior so you don't void a warranty on the glass do to thermal shock or seal failure.

Nope .....no reasons to tint on the exterior

Wearthefoxhat did say better performance.  Have filmed a few sunrooms on the inside that got so hot that even a 20% reflective silver film on the inside didn't block enough heat to cool the area off enough.  But adding an exterior silver film made a big difference.

Years ago we did a "sunroom" with 2 layers of p18 and 2 of ext15 . " Grandma" had some kind of eye issues that she had to have it REAL dark. But loved watching the birds. Tempered glass is awesome
