Duct tape rear window for old tint with defrosters??

Did I read some where on hear to Duct tape old purple tint then pull it off...do you do it when hot or cold???

How do you remove old tint on defrosters if steamer and soaking in sun won't take it off??? Can you duct tape it then peel?

Have fun trying with tint like that but dont waste too much time because a new rear glass will be the only option if they(car owner) wants the defroster and maybe antenna

Take and tint it over the old tint.   Quick sling it on.   Then bag it again.   Should grab and peel the old off too.

Scrap it off with a razor.  Defrosters wont work, but...most vehicles

that need it are 10+ old turds=doesnt matter.  I just tell the custy before hand and most dont mind, since here in AZ defrosters are needed much.

Thanks that's the answer I was looking for...how long do I let tint dry before  bagging it

Steamer with a plastic razor blade. Make sure you have a long handled blade holder. This will still take awhile to do.

By the time another layer of tint is dry enough to think it will pull off old crappy purple tint? That might just peel 1 layer off? How much time r u going to waste for that?

Good point maybe peel first layer off first with sweating with ammonia

I pulled both of them I have done right or into the sun.   Let them set for an hour baking.
