  Was up y'all, I just came back from the tint competition in west palm beach. I made it to the finals, but didn't get 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. I will see in a week or 2 what number I did come in. For someone that wasent sponsored (had to sell my custom redline bmx bicycle to go), and for someone that knew nobody, I had a blast!!!! Was great having people asking me, "who the f$&k r u". 

    What wasn't so great was my old friend that told me about him going compete, wasn't there! I know he just had a child. I don't know what was his reasons was for missing this year, because me and him had words a few years back and told each other we was better than one another, and a few other words! I tried to text him last night, but I'm sure he has my number blocked! 

      SnappyTint if u see this, I am apologizing for any thing I said to u, or any inconvenience I might have caused u. We where good friends, and I don't want me and u 2 b another bo/kemp relationship. I am raising the white flag to say I'm sorry dude, and I hope me and you can kill it next year at San Antonio Texas! U know who this is, and u know for me to come on tintdude to tell u this, for every body 2 c is not in my nature. I hope we can work this out, and work together as we once did! If u feel like I did to much, and don't want to speak 2 me, I do understand.

  Hey addicted 2 tint, as long as u have a good heart, nothing is impossible. The man Sal that won this year, had more heart than any of us in there. Congratulations to brother Sal!!! The type of guy that would give u his handmade watch off his arm.(he really gave me his hand made watch off his arm)! Good at heart, but had the eye of the tiger. He took home 1st auto, 3rd flat! Now that's inspireration at its best. He was the only one that said, hey man come hang out with us, before anybody even knew they where in the finals. This was his fifth year completing. And I'm so glad I got to experience this with him!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      I'm looking for a chrome/mirror wrap for headlights/taillights. No NEOchrome, just a mirror or chrome appearance. Looking to spice up a project. Looking for transparent so can see lights thru film. I have looked and can't find what fits the bill. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
