2018 Porsche 911 turbo S

We have redone the full PPF on this 2018 Porsche 911 turbo S 3 times and we cannot seem to get it clean. Any tricks to keeping dirt out if the side vent area? It seems that all the water and dirt collect in this area under the vent and as many times as we lift and clean it out it just gets worse...

remove the vent completely and flush and clean it out thoroughly then flush it out again and when you install the film go lighter with the slip solution around that area so it's not dripping.

we use a pressure on demand steamer and steam it 3-4 times before any install , also we use soft cloth with thin car wrap squeegee for edges.  but flushing them with steam does great.

As soon as you spray slip it will pull the dust out so blow out the crevices with an air compressor and then do a final wipe down before you install.

I hit all areas like that with compressed air to blow any debris out

So how did your Porsche turn out Josh?

Be careful if its a newer one, Porsche is using double sided tape on them now and some (GT2RS) are glued in.

I've just recently completed several wraps on new GT3RS's and they are indeed using double side tape.  You can easily fix this though by using a flat pry tool and just slide it in to break the bond, do not pry with it as you can dent the thin body panel, you must slide it in and out not pry it but it will easily come off.

Yeah the vents pop out pretty easy. Unless they are the carbon fiber ones. Those tabs tend to break on the vent itself and they ain't cheap
