Sounds like the clear plastic you tape around the inside frame then use a hair dryer to tighten it.  Makes like a storm window. I used it in my old drafty windows back in the day.

Leave it to 3M to allow something like this to get published; it's confusing at best, misleading at worst.

 

I have never understood their marketing, especially when they actually have great products that don't need to be marketed in a misleadingly fashion.

 

Most of what is written, even through link words, take you to standard residential window film and to my knowledge, it's really a stretch to say standard solar control film saves 30% when it comes heating.

 

Enerlogic (to my knowledge discontinued for whatever reason(s)) might have laid claim to reducing man-made heat loss, but no other window film is or was as effective as Enerlogic at reducing heat loss nor was any solar film effective at stopping cold air drafts.
