This is how I responded..I hope it's satifactory...it's all I can offer you seeing as I didn't see the post ...a mod will be able to verify this:
Probably the way you asked the question was ok...but it's a loaded question with liable results for TD ...it's the responses (slamming of brand names)of other companies which leads to a TD in hot water ...it's happened B4 ...but I'm only guessing..I'm not a mod nor an aministrator...just a member that's been around long enough to know what to post and what not to ...and why

Did a Pontiac Sunfire Sat. (2 Dr.) It really kicked my butt on the drs
what year was it?
Don't think it matters on those cars what yr
I also like to shrink a finger or 2 on the doors for easy install
I also do a slight overlap cut on the wide part of the doors to allow for the shift of the window that it can take on to insure for no light gaps.
Panal pulls back easily at the top to slip film under rub rail gasket

use 2 mil vinyl...it works better for working itself into the dots as opposed to the thicker 3 mil
-
My best advice to you would be t oread as much as you can on here to educate yourself , then take a job for beginning wages at a pro shop for 6month - yr. Then see if you really want to do it in a market as saturated as Fl.

I can't help you as to where..perhaps more of an "anti - selling" ploy to customer?
1. controversial illegal
2. warranty is null and void on material
3. more expensive
I can usually talk myself out of most specialty films

Someone has to stop that "LluLlu " rep from scooping all the TOTW

who?
I always do a post like this when someone takes the time to register thier Birthday on TD's website...yet have hardly ever participated for the amount they've been a "member" ...it's just my sick, sarcastic sense of humour kicking in

My condolences to the Americian families and friends that lost loved ones on this terrible day in history 3 yrs ago .

My instructions to customers for this time of year (heat related) is 2 days B4 rolling down windows (If the tinter tells you more..best follow his advise)
He will have shade choices since you said your getting it done proffesionally.
It's hard to describe a shade over the internet, so I won't attempt it, however just make sure of 2 things regarding shades : Make sure it's LEGAL for your area and make sure if your going darker on the back windows that your comfortable with backing up at night time not being able to see out well if it's limo (5%) on the back.
A metalized component is a better film (incase your not sure which kind your getting)
I'm sure someone else will add a few tips

although I can think of better things than this for larger areas (vinyl -probond), I have ...and still use this on a small trouble area that might not stick on a perimeter matrix area(eg. ford focus or windstar 95-99) . just a dab with the brush and voila!

If it's Gila..give it a month...you'll be fine

I agree TD...I'll NEVER forget when I first heard it...it wa when I was about 8 yrs old..dad has an original album of it ..listened to it wide -eyed in my room at night ..have heard it 2 more times since then..caused panic EVERYWHERE in it's day

that's quite a pic !
-
not sure why it did that..the pic is under 155K...if you go for the center of the pic..you'll see the knife
-
Hope you like this potential TOTW
I use this on vehicles like GMC..works great..doesn't slip off and is cheap..any dollar store . You just extend the knife out one "click, then lock it, wedge it in .
The knife tip goes into the plastic just enough to not slip, not enough to damage button

yes..any gasket that can be removed, I remove

Red Green could fix that baby right up! (if your not a Canadian, you probably won't get this post )
HELP: DOT MATRIX!!!! INSTALLATION
in Window Tinting - General Discussion

That was an inside joke David 7979 .
In all seriousness, if your not happy with the dots outcome, what you should do is take it back to the tinter that did the job for you ...see if he can fix it by either re appling the top portion with vinyl, or laying it down with come other method he/she's comfortable with.
Worst case senerio, if you have no luck with him/her you can take it to another shop that's experienced in dot matrix(you'll have to do your own local homework on that ) and get the top portion fixed (most likely won't be too expensive)
