Does it also have triple UV inhibitors throughout the manufacturing process and the dye imbedded in the polyester ?
Lifetime warranty in regards to fading and discolouration ?

I have heard good things about global over the years
-
Who you with now Slick?
-
Because I've tracked certain cars over the years along with 0% returns on film failure
-
Ah ok , I never used the bronze so never had the issue.
I got lucky looking back.
I've used ATR from the get go , prior to that Madico. Both long term great successes for longevity. Only time proves. A brief usage of Sun***D . Thank God I survived that era that I wasn't involved with too long
-
oh in flatglass you mean?
-
I show my age when I say that when I hear 3M and issues , an image of the Pink Panther comes to mind
-
Interesting. I still believe in the longevity of the product , but I'm also questioning some of the recent manufacturing of the product being an exclusive many year installerDon't use llumar tint. They are having major manufacturing issues - tint layers separating and coming scratched off

I do but I'm in Ontario,Canada

2 hours on a sedan using my plotter. 3 to 4 If I hand cut.
So it would take you 1-2 hrs for strictly cutting ?
Keep practicing , eventually you'll get it down to 15min or less for a whole car and it will always come out perfect and you can instead use handcraft tint as an upsell !

I'm not a PPF guy but appreciate the art of what you shared with the site along with pics

If your sanding them and its still happening, I'll ask if you wrap them in a paper towel as well or direct hard card contact ? Also how's the SR coating on your film of choice ?

Good stuff!

I misplaced the kitchen sink last year and wasn't sure where I placed it. The wife suggested to look in one of the many pockets in Shady's apron.
FOUND !

If you remove the little plastic push clips, you can pull the panel back and remove the sweep. Then just drop the pattern down the door, push out the glass, and spread it. Removing the sweep will keep water out of the door module too.
easy roll downs once you follow the above info

Looks like you beat me to it

I haven't gone on too much about the slime after initially using it because of how many Film On concentrates I still have left in inventory I have to use up what I already paid for HOWEVER I did whip up another batch of slime solution the other day because if the high temps we are into for a back window solution and have to say once all my Film On in gone, I will be a sole user of Tint Slime. Very user friendly , way to go Guardian !Just a thought : a separate pinned thread dedicated strictly to a tinter's sprayer capacity to ratio of slime so that others can have a reduced "learning curve" and have a quicker positive experience once they compare the sprayer container size they own to that of a happy Tint Slime customer

leaving horrible pinch roller marks in the film that did not go away once the film was applied
Ummm , that's every plotter. That is why you use the outside rollers only. And that is why you adjust the spring tension if nessesary.
Unless I'm reading this completely wrong
-
But when it comes down to it the customer is always right. Or something like that.
Do you know what I've always liked about self-employment? The fact that you can replace the word "always" with "mostly" in that statement : lol

Just an afterthought post, yes I do realize that UV films are better for protection than just the windshield, with that being said though, any car I've had that is modern has never had any cracking issues with dashes compared to those cars of the 70s and 80s
And with THAT Being said, I sure do like my air blue 80 on my windshield
-
I like the idea of protecting the dash and everything, but the lower strip just looks stupid to me
On modern cars, you don't really have to worry about that with the built in UV protection on windshields these days
People only really get it for the ghetto look IMO
I agree with it looking stupid, but again that's just an old guy tinter point of view

Busy day today:
2011 Ford Taurus
2013 Nissan Altima
2013 Nissan Rogue
2013 Mazda M3 sedan
2012 Mazda M6
Dodge Ram Quad Cab
A lot got this aging auto tinter anyways

I love easy unplanned weekend work . Phone rings and guy wants 2 drs on a gmc truck done. He gets to the house in 5 min which was enough time to have both windows cut from the plotter and on the peel board when he drives up to the house . Shake hands, drives away happy 20 min later and now have an undisclosed amount of quick cash to take the wife out for a nice meal in the town

Heads up to panel pullers. This car is easy to tint but if your a tinter that likes to either remove the bottom gasket or pull back panels, you will most likely have to pull the panel. If you pull the panel, you have to pry the trim around the door opener latch carefully as it is easy to break the tabs. Best way is to take the smallest mini screw driver and work your way around to depress all the tabs (here's a pic of one off so you don't have to guess where the tabs are on the hidden side) :
Also, when taking off the mirror cover off the 2 front panels be VERY careful or you will be repairing 1 or 2 plastic clips on the other side. Very poor design for taking off. If you pry it upward, then outward, this will release the top portion of the triangle. Then pry inward toward the inside of the car, that will release the second part of the plastic clip. Finally just pull back with will allow the plug to come free.
Hope this saves someone some grief . Easy car to tint though

I should add incase it didn't come off right , my questions are sincerely wanting to know as I don't know. Not assuming Llu Llu is better , just wondering what other auto films are constructed similar these days
