Too bad they did not get into more detail....

Sounds like the clear plastic you tape around the inside frame then use a hair dryer to tighten it. Makes like a storm window. I used it in my old drafty windows back in the day. -
5% Window Tint, Major reflections now.
Ryker replied to JBent's topic in Window Tinting - General Discussion
Not exactly "zero" tint. Maybe no film but the glass is not clear on any factory glass.... Clear glass will reflect too so you are very valid in this though... -
So I was technically a Suntek dealer years ago but they've changed things and at this point unless I wanted to get some sort of actual license I think and really wanted a minimal sales/ film purchases for the year. I've been in this game and nothing but tent for 24 years next month and never needed to have anything like a business license here in Illinois. I've been a Llumar dealer and a Suntek dealer both....

The black frit on the front is to frame the cameras, wires, and sensors. Small dots are generally to make a eye pleasing transition. Large dot area are too shade the interior.

When I was a kid I was at a friend's house. Climbing around in a tree. We had been climbing for hours. I had been stepping on this on cut off limb that was dead. I stepped on it one time more than I should have. I feel about 10 feet onto my back. If I had been just a little over I would have been impaled by a fence post and might not be here. Moral of this is, just because it works and has doesn't mean it is safe... that "limb" may break!

Lots of crap to cut around, curved glass, tight quarters, generally not as clean as a car... Can't say film size but you should be charging a LOT for this. Like 3 to 4 times what you charge for a full car or more. I won't do equipment. Mental stress is too much. Never get them as clean or excellent as I want.

Wiper making a haze sounds like something like a rain-x coating -
Hazy View - Polarized Sunglass Looking Out
Ryker replied to mobiledynamics's topic in Window Tinting - General Discussion
I would bet you're seeing low angle haze. Ceramic films can be bad at this. Don't know that it's worse with polarized glasses. -
That isn't going away. By your description I would go back. Nicely ask them to look at it. They should redo that.

Can film help? 114F parked smoke glass... options?
Ryker replied to CamperDan's topic in Window Tinting - General Discussion
In the dark factory glass you aren't going to help much tinting the inside. The heat is already getting absorbed into the glass. The external perf vinyl is your best bet. Easy to install. Cutting the edges will be your biggest learning curve. -
The dust in the tint isn't the best for sure.... it is likely from the interior of the car and could simply be the Tinter doesn't have the best way to handle your back window. 2016 is going to have dust and dirt more than you think unless it's not been in the real world. I'm sure it's clean enough though that they should be able to do better.

What year is your car? How old or dirty is it? Condition of the vehicle can make a huge difference....

If it's on the glass is it the same vehicle?

Search for Rayno on here and you can answer your own question.

I used a bit of ASWF flat glass film for a few years. Did one vehicle for my mom in the HP style film. I didn't love the auto film color or feel but it did hold up well. I know they were having issues with film claims years ago. I have used Global HP for my auto for almost 15 years now and wouldn't dream of changing. Zero film failure including no color change even.

The rubber cut is on the inside not outside so it is odd to be the Tinter that did that. Lots of frameless cars are bad about the glass going too high and tearing just like this...

I've only used a heat gun once in the last several years other than hanging out with Flat Rock Stan. Mapp gas torch is my shrink tool.
