  1. Did one saturday, schedule a little extra time, it was a little bit of a bugger but came out nice. The 3rd brake light you have to pull down hard on and slide it back in even harder. Before you put the brake light up, make sure the clips are sitting right or you won't be able to slide it up all the way. Again, it takes some muscle. Doors are alright, quarters are small.

  2. I burnt a panel on the 2 door maxima when it first came out . Lesson learned . You are right, and its like it just disintegrates right before your eyes. That panel cost me 8 bills, cause it had only been out like 3 weeks. The car was so new , the customer had to wait like a month to get his panel. Now, if I ever have a prob, the panels coming off.

I wanna see one of those! I wonder why they would call it the 4DSC (4 door sports car) if it comes with 2 doors... :lol2

    Guessing Altima, haha

Rogue is easy , shrink it before the install.

  3. it funny you say that because i most times im out and around the tint shops in my area, most if not every car i see in there lots are illegal. im just curious how these shops are getting away with it?

You either do illegal work, or you don't, you can't justify and reference it in to being legal. The work either is or isn't.

  4. never mind, I found it

20% all windows make it easier, here we have 28/18 law and messing with the film taking off the roll and re feeding another back on was just a pain in the azz for me.

If it works for you, great, :thumb:money

Local is actually 35/20 so I do a lot of that, but seriously, we have been doing a run of the mill sedan in 30-40 minutes with the cutter, when I'm not fighting with it, but I've learned a couple things that are helping me get it dialed in pretty fast for the different films. That 30-40 minutes is from pulling it in to pulling it out.

  5. Close enough works for me if I means a few extra hundred dollars in my pocket each day, I'm taking this G37 back to the dealer now and bringing a focus. So far the patterns on the Precision cut have been close enough for the 99% and if it's slightly off I just fit it tight where it's low, and shave the extra where it's high while I'm installing. No lie, I have pulled in at least a dozen extra cars in the week I've been using it.

  6. I have been using Percison Cut for about 3 months, it's the best pattern system I have used. It does have a few problems but my rep is always taken care of me.

Started this G35 about 40 minutes ago, 2 doors left with making a video, uploading it to youtube, typing some crap up etc. life is easy.

  7. ...and not a tint on the schedule.

So I got the shipment of my Precision cut FC8000 off the UPS truck, got it together, played with the software a bit. Nothing to tint though. Decide to strip and tint the shop van, went pretty smooth, cut with the wrong tip, but it was Greystone and it took it like a champ. Figured that out and about 4pm a guy shows up with a 2006 impreza, asked if we could do it today. Normally that would get a hell no, but I really wanted to try it out. Wasted a bit of tint figuring out setting the force, got it down, 4:30 me and my co-worker were pulling it out to dry. Literally start to finish 30 minutes, with some time spent re-cutting the rear section. I see big things with this setup.

    nice! how were top edges?

The ford seemed a little off, but the subie was dead on

  9. so what you are saying is that you can remove the dots easily from the window without damaging the window????? If that is the case why not mention to the owner that you can do this all the way around and the install will look cleaner???? that would save you from replacing windows and give the Custy a nicer install.

I think he means he put a nasty scratch in the frit band. Tough rather than buying new windows you may be able to paint it with a glass primer and it not be noticeable from even a few inches away. I have to do this sometimes with new windshields that have part of the frit scratched.

  10. It should depend by area, some places you can live like a king for $12/hour, some places that barely pays a rent. My helper makes about $17-18/hour "salary" and I usually throw him an extra $100 or so after busy months. I would figure what a decent 1 bedroom apt. goes for as about a weeks pay, here it's about $500-600, that would be a good indicator of a fair pay, more if they are more experienced, less if they are less.
