HA! HA! That crap had to go! But on a serious note, I cleaned all the old off and called it a day. Went home and contemplated my ways and came back this morning to finish it up. GOOD LAWD!! Been YEEEEARS since I’ve had to spice one together! Ugh!!

Unfortunately, I’ve had many hatches fall on my head in these long 40 years. Mostly Camaros and TransAms. No fun and games there I tell ya! Part of why my neck is so jacked up? That and the fact I fell out of a 4X4 truck in 2001 and landed on my head nearly breaking my neck. Was supposed to have neck surgery in 2020 but not going near hospitals for now.

Aw come on, it's almost done. A few more strokes and you'll have the rest of that film layed down.

Looks like 10 pieces with relief cuts and the layers are separating.

I'd throw that turd over the fence.

Yes, too picky on the fact that the film is not coving the ceramic coating all the way on the rear hatch. The thing is is there is no daylight. I for one do not like to lift the film and move it once it has been laid on the glass of a window with defrosters because it will leave ghost lines in the glue on the film.

Now the door panel is not melted but appears to have had something put pressure on it an cause a dent. Could possibly come out after the sun warms it up for a few days and cause the contraction and expansion?? Or not. Did the tinter do it or was it already there? Who knows.

TNTLady reacted to Dano in Quick Poll on Tinting Job... What would you do if this was your car?
If that giant gouge wasn't in the glass when you took it in, I would speculate that they were trimming a pattern on your door with a crappy blade.

I'm with @TintDude, those clowns should not be tinting at all. That's a ridiculous amount of damage.

That they throw their tools away and never try to tint another car...ever.

That's a tough call. Def do not let them touch it again.

And it's unusual to pay for the film and installation separately unless you bought your own film, and that's never a good idea. Find a reputable shop and let them instal their film.

That huge scratch in pic #6 probably wasn't them. Everything else tho is pretty much FUBAR. All that rubber trim is jacked up and is not repairable as far as I know.

This new Defender got the CTX treatment with a 35% on the front doors, 15% on the rear windows and an Air 80 on the windshield. This was kinda fun to do.
