Best tip would be, “Sorry, no boats”.

Yep, get used to it because it never ends.  You can reduce frustration with tinting, but you can’t eliminate it.  

Reduce or eliminate air flow. Also, dirt/ dust on the exterior or interior can float onto the window. You can mist or cover the interior with a towel.

I just did a 24’ Toyota Venza. It turns out that it only had the UV coating on the front 1/4s. I just flushed to clean those. If the glass stamp says, “UVS” on it then no blades or scrub pads!!! If you don’t see it, then you are good to go. 

Makes sure you wipe the leading  edge/ side you squeegee from or that can happen. Also, when reverse rolling, don’t put film all the way in the edge you roll from until it completely rolled out. Doing so will pull contamination out of the side edge. You can spray some foaming glass cleaner along all edges and hard card with towel to help. Lots other good info posted.

Mobile installs can be just as clean, but unless the garage has a two car space, is clean without much stuff and the wind is’nt blowing hard it won’t be. One other factor with mobile is customers watching. That makes it harder and more stressful. Most mobile custys want to talk to you and keep an eye on you. 
 

As for the install that tinter saw that and said F it!!

I would just average the labor at $125 for all full vehicles tint. 

For me, 50% is too dark windshield.

One thing with cheap customers is they are looking for the lowest price. I would get customers asking for a discount, so I would offer $10-$20 only to have it rejected. Yeah, I never go down in price now. Also, Ive noticed a high rate of cancellations with customers that are mostly concerned with price.

You want to be competitive with the prices in your area and price close to or at the highest prices around town. Raising prices can lose past customers, but at some point you need to do it and leave those custys behind for the ones that’ll pay more.  Thats what I did when I first raised prices. The past customers that said I was too muchwere some of my cheapest customers that I didnt mind losing. As for pricing I would charge about half the cost of a full vehicle for the two fronts. I actually just raised my two front price now. I did it because of the rise in tinting only the two fronts. The higher price will push people more to tint the entire vehicle.

You can remove one screw and pull the seal out. 

Double rope it, light slip (no flushy) tape off anything that can get wet.

I agree, let them know it will scratch with out felt. I actually did like an 09 Mustang recently that had no felt. By this time the BG was done and all patterns were cut. I told the guy he could get felted sweeps from Ford and he did. 

I would advertise the Global name over Xpel. Too many shops offer Xpel. 

I never felt mercedes or anything. Most high end Mercedes the seal is incapsulated around the door, which is not removable. Anyone that ever comes to me with scratches will have to to get it fixed. As for the felt, thats there cars problem not mine. Buy a new car or felt your own door. 

I usually do rear window first. Then trick the door latches to get the side windows to go all the way up. 

I never see Nissan Rouges anyone. Because those cheap F’ers bought Tesla and cant afford low end film. Just a bunch of wannabes is this world today!

Thats S500 is tough. You can’t pull the door seals. A call back would be a nightmare for the tinter. 

Hopefully one day a heat gun will be designed just for tinting. One with two heatguns together, side by side, but with one handle and light weight. 

Thats should do the job just fine.
