“Put the heatgun down and step away from the vehicle.” Sounds like a cop giving commands. Im going to start a Tint Policing. I’ll show up and bust you trying to dry shrink or applying films I dont approve of. I can just see the news story…”Local Tinter Tased and shackled while Dry Shrinking.”

Ive done this car twice now without covering anything in the trunk and has turned out fine. I’m using a spray bottle not a tank. This new model Accord does suck and the angle of the rear windshield is a lot steeper then the old one.
The civic BG is the same. Seems a lot of BGs are steeper with higher decks. I now charge Sedans the same price as a full size SUV. Also, more sedans require 3rd brake light removal.

I would just take the entire panel off. The days of seal pulling are over pretty much. The older gens where the panel could be pulled back now have a deep lip/edge that wraps around the seal, not allowing the panel top edge to be pulled back. Chevy did this in the latest generation.

Yep, and just no follow up. I dont care how clean your work is, if you dont double check it you could be leaving stuff behind.

Gap is the opposite on how it should be? Instead of 1/4” tucked, its a 1/4” gap. Maybe a confused dealer tinter??

Id go with the cheaper line if you dont plan on keeping vehicle more than a couple years.

Windshield usually have some imperfections. As long as your main field of vision is clear I wouldnt worry about it.

I swear these post about install should not allowed. There useless as the customers know they arent happy and only the shop can fix the issue.
I never saw these post nearly as much back in the day. That because the first reply always was, “Call the shop”.

Before removal, mark outside edge, so you can match that extreme micro edge gap.

Is Suntek really that bad compared to Llumar?

Eastman owns both Suntek & Llumar. Suntek fixed the scratching issue years ago. Even before I never had much problems with scratching. Oh yeah, they made liner pull easier easier on their films. The shrinking is the best there is.
