  1. As a suggestion to help with the issue, I have 2 of those cheap square 20" box fans they have at Walfart and basically everywhere for like $15-20, and i put these 20x20 filters on the intake side so the fans suction holds them in place and it makes a great air filter system that you can direct the air flow. I shut them when i have to, but good for leaving on overnight.

20x20 filters (i use merv 13 rating because i use them at home too my kid has allergies, you can use merv 8, 11 and 13,  the merv 14 and up are for medical environments)-

It was electric blue color with black interior.

I wonder if the new lights of the cars are causing this. I have not driven the car at night.

I was thinking about this when i drove my daughters car last night, it has a hatchback and not tinted and i get the red color from the 3rd brake light day and night (the lights stay on), covers the back hatch area enough to be seen as red on side glass as well, i think some of it came from the brake lights on each side of the hatch too. Have the customer show you exactly what it is, i get people who say this odd kind of stuff but can't reproduce it when in front of me.

  4. You either gotta cut bait or fish, your boss is staying focused on his main moneymaker, and ideas like yours could leave him open for liability.

You may have better luck asking him to rent the booth after closing time each night, but in his head he'll picture people walking around his place when he's not there. Also, if you're as good as you claim, he's not going to help you build what he may perceive as your new business and lose his painter. Some people like to stay in that comfortable "if it ain't broke so don't fix it" thought train.

1500 and 2000 is what I use. Leaning more toward just using 2000 mostly. Used 1500 on an old Lexus last week and it was fine.  What do guys think about those flexible blocks that come with the paper on them??

flexible sandpaper wrapped around an old squeegee or wrapped around a hard card wrapped with a towel works decent

can you please tell me if this tanks can be used for pressure spraying ?

am trying to get rid of the spray bottles & was looking for alternatives

i need 3 tank setup in my shop & the ones they selling on website is way too pricy ..

i want to build my own can someone help me ? See if I can use this to make it into pressure sprayer ? Or I need something else ?

i also seen a shop using a water sprayer pump some mixer unit on the wall & feeding thru water tank connected with 5 sprayer that thing worked like champ ..

I'll give you an actual answer instead of trying to sell you something else, no that tank won't work, having a top like this is the easiest to work with and modify:

  7. Anybody test out and determine what grit you can use on the glass without scratching or blemishing in any way? I see people using less than 1500 grit and wonder how it's not scratching the glass or doing something to it somehow. One guy on FB a while back said he uses 400 grit on the whole back glass using a drill attachment. What's the roughest grit you've used successfully that won't scratch the glass?

Guys, If you haven't gotten a "high end" aka, really good hair dryer yet,,,, get one. No more worrying about burning a door panel or a head liner trying to set a finger that didn't snap correctly.  I have been using one for awHile now on stuff like the Accord back doors that have to be snapped so much, or those pesky BMW's that will try to pop a little finger up after install even though you snapped it before hand.  Anyway, the high end hair dryer will keep you from burning anything but still be able to set film without ghosting.  Works great for drying rubber seals on stuff like the rear glass of a '54 Chevy too.

and good for drying up some dot matrix on the inside of glass

i feel like you'd like the item in this link with some heat tape wrapped around the end:

  9. if it's scratched looking could be glass that was scraped with the wrong blade, or a dull blade, or a blade that caught something while scraping that made the edge bad and they kept scraping maybe the edge progressively worse, or a blade used when the glass has a coating a blade shouldn't be used on.

  10. Get a longer file for longer cuts and save time-

i use these for the ends that go into the rubber if needed, thin and flat and good for fine control with a slight flexibility to it, could probably us it for all filing-
