Orange crush! I’ve tried the blue max when I started, didn’t like it. Then it tried the fusion hybrid and it was pretty good but I like the cropped style, so I stuck with the orange crush and I love it. Removes all the moisture I need it to just by pressing a tad harder with it on my second passes.

SOS pads for rear windows/defrosters. They would work just as well for any window that has a greasy film. A blue scotch pad would work as well I’m sure.

redgar826 got a reaction from quality tintz in Using cleaning and a slip solution???
I use fusion all type slip solution and usually just wipe the windows once I make the final pass. Sometimes I may need to mist it first but it works. Beats the bell out of buying a bunch of cans of cleaner as well.

Sorry for the confusion haha, when I said I lay the tint with the doors closed I meant my garage doors, not the vehicles. Haha sorry once again for the confusion, I actually never thought about doing it that way though if I was mobile but it’s a good idea in theory.

Yes! Definitely make sure you rinse out your bottles every few days with hot water. I used to let them sit for days and days on end sometimes, use and refill over and over and one day I looked in the bottom and saw a thick coating on the bottom. When you pull the sprayer straw out of the bottle, feel it. I bet you can feel a waxy/texture to it. Basically the same thing is happening on the bottom of the bottle. Sometimes hot water isn’t enough to get rid of it, I had about 6 bottles I had to fill up a quarter of the way and add some JOY dish soap and let soak for 2 days till it broke it down.

Well I lowered my ratio of fusion all type down to 1oz./gal. And it did seem to help honestly. Maybe I had too much? It was a touch hotter the other day but I lay the film with the doors shut and only let one or two windows open. I’ll keep using this fusion stuff since it would awesome today haha!

I have been using Johnson baby shampoo and just tried fusion solution the other day as well. I have better luck and results with the shampoo. Plus it’s cheaper, easier to get and I know it works. Anyways I was using 3 oz. to a gallon, I added a tad more if I needed it but I just didn’t care for it.

I used 3oz/gallon for the fusion stuff and it still didn’t seem to have enough slip.

Well damn haha! I guess I’ll stick with the wash for now since I’ve never tried the shampoo. If I need more slip I usually add a little more soap to the sprayer and all is good.
