when I do those I loosen the shocks bolts and leave them hand tight ,when I get to the corner I pop off the shock and the sgueegee,then tight the bolt and repeat on other side

not much shrinking. but if u want it to fit like a glove shrink about 4 - 10" fingers on the top of the window, and on the bottom corners have 2 squeeges ready

and use double soap in your solution on those
