Hi Guys,

We too have had this problem and its easily solved. With the tailgate open there is a plastic moulding which surrounds the whole screen - remove the bottom portion (it pops off quite easy) underneath are a couple of electronic modules cover these and prevent them from getting wet with tape etc. These modules seem to be related to key fob and Radio.

Whatever way you do these cars if water gets into them there is problem - we had one which was fine in the workshop - driver went around corner and some water sitting in a pocket ran down the channel into the module. Even the driver said radio was fine until ...

If one of the modules gets wet you can sometimes save it, providing you have not cycled the igintion, by blowing the water out using an airline/compressor.

Also we have used metalised film on the back screens of these cars without problems - as long as the modules are dry.

Hope this helps. :bat
