two months ago I had a friend tint his customers car and the guy did'nt like the job wanted two windows redunn and the tinter said they were fine just a few specks in them, the guy still did'nt pay and went in side his house.

my friend calls the cops and says to the officer theff of services, they send over a cop car and the cop looks at the job just performed and the cop tells the guy to pay or go to JAIL.

the guy pays and the cops tell the tinter that he did a great job and got his business card cause the cop needs a few cars done.,

yep theff of services........................

what you do is get a big brick, and break his windows one at a time.  That way it is too small of a claim to turn in to insurance and the prick will have to come out the pocket!!!!!

Tintdesignz is right. It is theft of goods and services by fraud. Same as stopping payment on a check. How can they prove that they ever really intended to pay you? Try buying a Plasma TV at Sears, then get a charge back. See what happens.

You can go to the state attorney and file charges for theft/fraud. I know. Its happened to me twice. :poop (Bast@rds!!!!)

They will have to prove a dispute, and prove that they tried to resolve it with you first. IF YOU WILL NOT address thier complaint, THEN they can go to civil court, the BBB or whatever. They cannot obtain goods and services, then stop payment on a check or get a charge back on thier credit card. My opinion, Have thier azzes arrested, or at least have them served with notice of intent to file charges :lol

It sucks that the world is this way...people can't talk to each other to iron stuff out.

It would be a wonderful world if everyone tried to put themselves in the shoes of the people they are dealing with and treated people like they would want to be treated. :thumb

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
