Problem with Tinted Windows on VW Eos

An interesting problem was reported arising from windows on a 2007 Volkswagen Eos (a convertible) that were tinted with film that was reflective on the inside surface. It seems that the owner left the top down and the windows up, and sunlight reflecting from the concave inside surface of the glass then burned a big hole in the plastic trim on the door.

There are more details (and pictures) documenting this problem at this post in the VW Vortex Eos forum: Tint on Eos. It might be something for you guys (tinting professionals) to think about - maybe you need to make sure you use a film that is not reflective on the inside surface, or perhaps maybe you need to tell the owners to not leave the windows up and the roof down at the same time.

:gasp

Good that you shared that experience here. :heh

However, any wise pro. tinter should know better that to apply a film which reflects on inside of auto.

main reason at night driving becomes impossible :lol6

Especially, on rainy night. All auto interior guages/lights reflects on glass causing driver poor or no visibility looking out. :linedrink

Daytime driving would be his/she lease worries. Being unable to see at nights= death. :barf
