shrinking side windows

Recommended Posts

I have one brand of film repeatedly come back

with de-lamination on the back glass

and another comes back with adhesive distortion

but never de-laminates

those are both a construction problem with the film

I don't use either anymore

I believe the films I use now have more stable laminating adhesive

time will tell :hmmm

True....And does wet shrinking also have a difference from dry shrinking? since wet you are shrinking a smaller area. and dry a larger?

Dry is better and faster. One or two pcs. less stress on film than wet shrink.

But both will work out fine, so it really doesn't matter. :lol

In regards to side window shrinking you may only get one or two fingers. So what's the big deal?

In my opinion that's not enough to determine any differences. :dunno

Yeah but two fingers are two many on the inside I like to lick it and stick it and not sit there and play around with it. and move on to the next one. :dunno like my ladies hahahah jk not funny

:shock personal preference I guess -Speck gets in my azz all the time about not heating

door glasses if it looks like they need it.

I agree it slows me down but I guess old habits are hard to break.

Well I guess if you can lay a colbalt 2 dr without shrinking it why not :shock

The first time I saw him put the tint on I was thinking HA HA he forgot :klingon

Then he finished the window like nothing at all :klingon

Had that been me it would have ended up in the trash :shock

Personally I shrink anything that needs it because I don't like to fight even the smallest of fingers. But if I was a hard headed old fart I guess I wouldn't need to :shock

Alot depends on your squeege technique, back in the day thats all we had to rely on, but now I find it easier to shrink them! :klingon
