One of my dreams is to see the shuttle either take off or land... I know.. kindof sad.. but I've always been a huge space fan and there are very few liftoffs that I haven't seen live unless it was just impossible to see. (ie no TV/net access)

Problem is that I hate FL.. and who knows if the date won't be scrubbed... so I couldn't do an overnite trip just for that without taking a huge chance of it not going up.

Does anybody remember the night landing we had 4-5 years ago? It was awesome when it flew over the Texas sky and then we went in the house to see the news and it was already landing in Florida

Now that would be cool.

I got to see a daytime launch here a few years back

driving in the car I heard it on the radio

and was watching the thing go up

I thought it was a plane at first

you can see the solid rocket boosters fall off

with just your eyeballs here

the night time launch will be cool if they get it together
