Three arrested on suspicion of (0(41|\|3 trafficking

Two tri-county residents and an Evansville resident were arrested Wednesday in Georgia on suspicion of (0(41|\|3 trafficking.

Jesse Desravines of Henderson and Joseph Moise of Morganfield were passengers in a vehicle driven by Evansville resident, Jermecka Outlaw, age 21, when it was stopped by officers with the Twiggs County Sheriff's crime suppression unit in the area of Jeffersonville, Ga.

According to a press release, the officers stopped the car for a window tint violation. However, when Outlaw allegedly couldn't produce her driver's license, the officers decided to investigate further.

That investigation revealed that Outlaw's license was suspended, and she was arrested.

The press release said that officers received consent to search the vehicle. They allegedly found more than 6 ounces of crack (0(41|\|3 and a 9 mm pistol hidden in two bags, wrapped in tape and placed behind the glove box, under the dash.

Desravines and Moise were arrested and charged with trafficking in (0(41|\|3, possession of (0(41|\|3 with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Outlaw was also charged with trafficking (0(41|\|3, possession of (0(41|\|3 with the intent to distribute possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, as well as the suspended license charge and the window tint violation.

Authorities said it appears that the trio had been to Miami and were traveling back to Indiana when they were stopped.

All three are being held at the Twiggs County Law Enforcement Center.
