Interior windows

Recommended Posts

I have a casino that has some interior windows that need tinted. The windows have some safety type refective look to them already. The owner is wanting to be able to see out without the customers on the dance floor being able to see in. Problem is their is very little light on the dance floor. He doesnt want to add any light to the dance floor. The lighting inside his office is very little but is still more than the dance floor. What do you recommend. I thought of adding some automotive film to the inside since it already had a reflection on the windows. Any ideas. Thanks.

you can try that but I bet it doesnt work. bet if he really wants it to work he is going to have to turn the lights OFF in his office.

the reason I say that is I just put a lexan window in the door that goes into my shop, I put llumar R20 silver on the outside figuring that would keep people (boogaman) from seeing me on the otherside, didnt work with just silver, so I put a layer of limo on the side I am on and it helped SLIGHTLY, you can still see into my shop with the lights on. so it did NOT work like I wanted it to, if I turn the lights off in my shop it works like a charm.

thats a tough scenario wanting to look into a dark room from a lit room through film, doesnt work very good.

I've used Slate 10 for that reason before and it worked well. Since its dual reflective, it doesn't end up shiny on the inside like a silver would, but its still shiny on the outside. Don't know if it would work for you, but in similar situation it worked well for me. Just put plenty of alcohol in your mounting solution or it won't dry out right.
