Global QDP 20%- I really like this film, and am thinking about switching and making it my main line. Price is almost half what I pay for my Supreme, quality and rep is good, and the color is awesome. Its as close a match to factory as I've ever seen.

I know all my pictures are cars, but thats all I do, so I figure I'll still post them anyways

Michigan Law is a little shady on the two fronts, but from what I understand, it can be any VLT 4" from the top of the window. Some say only 35%. :beer

The new last is t he 4" from the top any VLT. You see some people driving around that have a 4" contour strip to the top of the window that 1. looks stupid and 2. is still technically !llegal. However, probably half of any tint shops business up here is the 2 fronts on trucks and SUVs (it is detroit after all). The local cops up here will never give you a tint ticket, because half of them have their cars tinted, and just don't really care. Where I am is not the bad part of "the D", on the contrary its actually the very nice suburb areas. My car, and my families cars have been tinted all around for over 5 years, with not one issue. From what I hear from my customers, its only the state police that will give you a tint ticket, but since its a fix it ticket you have to be speeding or something else in order to be pulled over.

I know people always preach to stay legal on here, but at the same time I wouldn't be able to stay in business only doing legal jobs, because michigan doesnt allow anything on the from windows more or less. And realistically, I don't care what other people think, since its our state and business, and we can do what we want. MI has no liability or laws against the shops, so we have em sign a waiver and off they go.

Im not preachin to ya. You said it was 20% all around and I was curious about the limit...and really couldnt get a definitive answer on what is legal.

This statement right here should show people on here all they really need to know about you Mr Legit, I kinda remember around here lately you doing a little preaching about illegal tint.

there is a big difference between 20 or 35% on a set of side doors, as opposed to 23% or 15% on a WINDHSIELD. As others have said in those two threads about the windshields, many other people agree.

also, I don't go around posting my illegal pictures of my work on here like many others do

There is a big difference between doing 120mph in a 65mph zone, as opposed to going 130mph in a 30mph zone. :twocents

What's the difference in posting pics of illegal work or supporting it with words? <--- rhetorical question Either way it's supporting breaking the law!

as I've also said, when I tint a windshield it is only with a doctors note/restriction, which I get a lot of through my optometrist and dermatologist. 40-50% on a windshield is a big difference compared to 20% on one.
