A better way to put it is when a customer comes to show you a car that your competitor did and was bitching about a dot in the window or something minor. Do you tell the customer its the worst job you ever seen and you shouldnt accept it or say its acceptable and it is a good tint job?

depends, I have seen our closest competitor put out decent work, but also had a custy come in to redo 2 front (which were bad), but more concerning were the OBVIOUS burns in the headliner from heating up a front strip.... :spit ....This was a grand cherokee, should be no need to heat that whatsoever, Custy showed us the spots, and I had to agree that is absolutely unacceptable........Original shops response was thats how it was when you brought it to us......

if I can say I can do better I will. but I will also tell them what the industry standard is, and if that tint job meets it. if its bad I will say so but still tell the customer to give the other shop a chance to redo it.

most of the time if they go to another shop for inspection, they dont want the original shop to touch the car ever again.
