3M has two different Black Carbon films. The 600 series and the new 1080 series. Different thicknesses and different adhesive types. Even the pattern is a bit different. It is a smaller/tighter carbon weave look on the 1080 than on the 600. Also, because it is thicker and has multiple layers, the 600 has more texture to it and actually mimics the feel of actual raw carbon.

Let me know which 3M you are looking at and I can give you more info.

The only thing I remember hearing about it is it's nice and easy to take off as no glue will be left behind similar to the glue of moonrakker
