Dealer Says Selling Car with Tint is Illegal

He's right, "Federal" law. :D They aren't supposed to tint cars on the lot before they are sold.

After they are sold and the custy wants it it's fine.

I think there is a fine line there. Yes there is a federal law, but each state is to regulate it. I don't want the law to change at the federal level because that would eliminate the need for window film. Look at what happened when they started producing privacy glass.

its also a federal law not to cover the third tail light in the BG with tint, but no one is getting fined for that... Its also ileagal to cover any signal device I.E. tail lights with anything including clear material. But unlike back in the day when we all got tickets for GTO tail light covers, no one is getting in trouble these days for the tail lights being wrapped.
