I disagree. Cash will always be king. Credit ratings and cash are never in the same basket. Look at Walmart, Harley Davidson, and Sysco. They all operate on cash and are multi billion dollar companies without a penny in debt.

When you have an account that can cover your expenses, you are self sufficient.

The point is that the amount of cash (notes and coins) they take is very small. It is also awkward and expensive for them to process.

Big business do not like cash they prefer card payments.

Nobody has ever robbed a security van full of credit card payments but plenty full of £ notes or $ bills have.

in saying that, stolen money from vans is never used as its always destroyed, I havnt heard of one yet that hasn't

cloning credit cards is easy, and we lose billions just from that alone.

would be interesting seeing the 2 figures against each other

Theft is theft and big business alow for that, but in the wider picture they much prefer card payments.

Peoples preference won't matter. Governments will make the decision, business will drive it. :twocents

That is correct.

When does the populations opinion ever count for anything. If politicians and business want a cashless society then it will happen.

unfortunately governments are trying to control way too much. We would be a lot better off if there were less government interference.

Yep.
