how do you stay cool in the shop?

Avg. temp of 55 year round, very little snow, cozy 60-65 all summer in the shop with no heater or AC

I have been kicking around the idea of putting a rope mister up in my garage.. just wouldnt want it to soak the cars, or make the floor slippery, but im thinkin if its high enough, or a fine enough mist it will cool the air and dissipate before it hit the car or floor, and I would think eliminate most of the dust flying around... just my

I would guess a window unit on a rolling cart of some type, so it is blowing the cold air on you where you are working ?

blowing air and window film don't mix. If you can't stand the heat then get a desk job. personially I think of it like having my own steam room I work in everyday.

Though it does kinda suck having to go out on a sales call after sweating it out most of the day in the shop.

I have used fan for years in my shop, if you use if to circulate air out it works fine, we never have contamination issues. I also have a large mister fan but it gets way too humid here so don't use it much

you may want to look into one of these types of units. http://www.port-a-cool.com/ I have experienced them in use several times and they do a great job!
