Do you believe, we are in trouble?

Recommended Posts

Eastman, Garware and Nexfil are in the business of making film...

Yes sir, and please include Taiwan and China

PolyColor Taiwan has been dip-dyed for years but US is cheaper

China produces non-fading extruded-dyed and supplied to every laminator in China.

So overnight, every laminator in China has the capability to produce non-fading tints by using their local extruded-dyed films or carbon.

FCat how many companies in the world are capable of producing polestar film with the quality necessary for making tinting?

Cheers

Dear Prof,

Many polyester-makers can cure their PETs surface to suit the needs of our laminators, may I narrow down your question to those with capability to produce dye films?

US Names - Eastman (Flexvue, ATI, Suntek)

Japanese Names - Mitsubishi

Korean Names - Nexfil, SKC

Indian Names - Garware

Taiwan Names - PolyColor

New Entrants - China, Thailand

* Notable mentions: Toray and Teijin Duponts are major clear polyester suppliers for our trade.

The above list is not comprehensive, please include those that i missed.

And of course, carbon is also giving all laminators the capability to produce non-fading tints without dyed polyester.
